Putting on the Armor of Light — An Advent Retreat

Each year we approach the darkest day of the year during Advent. At the same time, we prepare our hearts to receive anew the Light of the World. Fear is all around us as our social fabric is being stressed by the unmasking of racism, the alarming rise in drug addiction, the naked march of tyranny, broken political systems, the dire threat of the climate crisis, and so much more. How will we live in this time of challenge as people who stand up for and in the Light? This Advent, join us in a day-long retreat looking at the darknesses we fear, both within us and around us, and remembering practices that robe us in an “armor of light” (Romans 13:12).
